By Air: The closest airport to Godkhali Port is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, situated 120 kilometers from Godkhali Port in Kolkata. After landing at the airport, people can use taxis or cabs to go to Godkhali through a 3-hour drive.
By Train: Sealdah Railway Station is the closest railhead and Canning Railway Station is the nearby station. Both Sealdah and Canning Railway Stations have good connections to various other places in India. People can board local trains from Sealdah Railway Station to Canning, which takes approximately one and a half hours. From there, private or public transportations can be taken to reach Godkhali Port.
By Road: By choosing road travel, people can board public transportation or hire taxis from Kolkata to reach Canning and then Canning to Godkhali Port. The distance between Kolkata and Godkhali is around 120 kilometers, whereas Canning is 64 kilometers away from Godkhali. Taking a private vehicle such as taxis is preferred because of overcrowded public transportation. At Godkhali Port, visitors can avail boats to move around the forest.
