SUDERBANS – DO’S AND DON’TS – A QUICK LOOK
Ensure that your trip to the Sundarbans National Park is both fun and environmentally friendly through some key pointers. Go for filtered or coconut water rather than drinking tap water. Also, carry mineral water only when necessary since the park does not allow any plastic products inside, making it a ‘no plastic zone.’ Carry light refreshments, fruit, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, enough money, some basic medicines, a torch along with batteries, and extra battery packs for the camera.
Always keep the environment clean by not littering, using polythene bags, shouting or making noise, and having a sound system. Always make sure you have the right permits to enter the park or tiger reserve, staying only in the designated areas during daylight hours. Do not poach, fish, or enter into restricted areas and strictly follow the forest department regulations. Ensure that the clothes you are wearing match the environment color-wise, maintain a safe distance from the wildlife, avoid making fire, smoking or cooking inside rooms, feeding animals, fishing, and using flash cameras.
