Visitors must obtain entry permission here. The tower accommodates 20 people and offers views of the Bono Bini Temple, Mangrove Interpretation Center, and a tourist lodge. Birdwatchers can spot species like Pelicans, Kingfishers, and Sea Eagles.

    Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower: Known for tiger sightings, this tower accommodates 25 people. A sweet water pond behind it attracts wildlife such as tigers, crocodiles, wild boars, and axis deer. The surrounding grassland provides an excellent wildlife view.

      How To Reach Sundarban National Park From Kolkata

      Sundarbans National Park, located in the 24 Parganas district, is about 110 km from Kolkata and is well connected by train, air, and road. Here’s how you can reach it:

      By Train:

      Take a train to Sealdah Railway Station in Kolkata, then board a local train to Canning (approximately 2 hours). From Canning, take a shared van to Godhkhali Jetty, where boats are available to take you to Sundarbans.

      By Air:

      The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. From the airport, you can either drive or take a local train to Canning (54 km, about 2 hours). Once in Canning, take a shared van to Godhkhali Jetty, where you can board a boat to Sundarbans National Park.

      By Road:

      Drive from Kolkata to Godhkhali, a journey of about 3 hours 30 minutes. From there, take a ferry to Gosaba. Upon arrival, hire a cycle rickshaw to Pakhiralay Village on the opposite side of the island, then board another boat to Sajnekhali. Alternatively, you can directly hire a boat from Kolkata to Godhkhali (a 2-hour ride).

      By Waterway:

      Sundarbans is accessible only by boat from Godhkhali. You can reach Godhkhali by hiring a car from Kolkata or taking a train to Canning, followed by a shared van ride. Once at Godhkhali, boats are available to take you to Sundarbans National Park.
