Similipal Tiger Reserve & Similipal National Park
Simlipal, located in Marurbhanj, Odisha, was once a hunting ground for local rulers and is now one of India’s largest wildlife sanctuaries and a key tiger reserve. Named after the Simul (silk cotton) tree, this area features dense forests, meadows, waterfalls, and rivers at an elevation of 900 meters. Covering 2,750 sq km, with elevations ranging from 600 to 1,500 meters, Simlipal offers a rich biodiversity and is ideal for forest camping from November to mid-June. The region includes the Simlipal Elephant Reserve and nearby Santhal tribal settlements. Summers can reach 40°C, while winters drop to 14°C, with moderate to heavy rainfall.

Day 1 – Arrive at Baripada, Balasore, TataNagar (Jamshedpur) or Kharagpur railway station according to your convenience and meet our tour agent. Reach Baripada and enjoy local sightseeing at Baripada, Pithabata and Handipuhan. Overnight stay in one of the best hotels in Baripada.
Day 2 – Enjoy your breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Visit the famous Simlipal National Park. You can also enjoy some trekking at Jumuani. The beauty of Barehipani waterfall and Uski waterfall will leave you mesmerised. Overnight stay at Jamuani.
Day 3 – Checkout from the hotel the next morning. Go for local sightseeing at Joranda waterfall, Brundaban, Chahala, Gudgudia, Kalikaprasad, Jashipur, Ramatirtha, Baripada and Tulasibani. Enjoy your lunch on the way and our tour guide will drop you at a railway station later in the evening.
